Cvetkovic and Van't Hof Earn Pac-10 Honorable Mention

May 8, 2006

For the second straight season, the USC men's tennis team has placed a pair of Trojans on the list for Pac-10 awards. For their efforts in the 2006 season, sophomores Dejan Cvetkovic and Kaes Van't Hof both have received All-Pac-10 Honorable Mention.

Despite a tough season in which the USC men suffered nine losses by 4-3 decisions, sophomores Cvetkovic and Van't Hof proved a sturdy force for the Trojans. Cvetkovic played primarily in the tough No. 1 singles slot, and Van't Hof spent the majority of his time holding down the No. 3 position during dual match competition. Van't Hof finished the 2006 season as USC's winningest singles player with 21 singles victories.

The Honorable Mention is Cvetkovic's first Pac-10 award, marking a solid start to the sophomore's career at Troy. The 2006 season was Cvetkovic's first year of competition for USC. The award also is the first such honor for Van't Hof, who is in his second season of action for the Trojans.

Both players were also key elements in USC's doubles power, which combined to post a 13-8 mark in Pac-10 matches and a 43-20 record in dual matches.
