Art Venegas' UCLA Bruins head to Eugene, OR this weekend for the 2006 Pac-10 Track & Field Championships, presented by 76 ProClean Gasolines. Although the Bruins aren't favored to win, UCLA will look to win individual titles and improve on regional qualifying marks.

Senior Craig Everhart will have his last chance to win an individual 400m Pac-10 title this weekend after having placed third the last two years. Everhart goes into the Pac-10 meet with the No. 1 400m time (45.92), a mark that also ranks seventh in the nation. Although Everhart would have a definite shot at placing in the 200m, the coaches have opted to only race him in the 400m and 4x400m relay to insure a strong finish at West Region and NCAA's.

Top freshman Kevin Craddock will also only race in one of his top events, the 110m hurdles. Craddock ranks fifth in the conference in the high hurdles (13.94) and sixth in the intermediates (52.01), but like Everhart, will opt to compete in only one event to maintain his health and legs for the Regional and National meet.

The Bruins will only run one relay at Pac-10's - the 4x400m relay with Everhart, sophomore James Rhoades, junior Tracy Session and freshman Elijah Wells. There will bo no 100m or 200m runners competing for UCLA.
