NBA and UCLA Alumnus Mark Eaton Takes Questions from the Fans

Drafted by the Phoenix Suns in 1979 and by the Utah Jazz in 1982, Mark's jersey, number 53, was retired by the Utah Jazz on March 1, 1996. During Mark's twelve year NBA career with the Utah Jazz, 1982-1994, he was named NBA Defensive Player of the Year twice and named to the All Defensive Team seven times. He still holds the NBA record for most blocked shots in a single season with 456 or 5.56 per game set during the '84-85 season. Mark led the NBA in blocked shots four times during his career. He was the first player to total 1,000 blocked shots in just three seasons. Mark swatted a total of 3,064 blocked shots which was the second most in NBA history.
Eaton was a two-year UCLA letterman from 1981 and '82, under coaches Larry Brown (1981) and Larry Farmer (1982).
