Men's Golf T-Ninth After Two Rounds at Regional

After two days of NCAA East Regional action at Lake Nona Golf and Country Club in Orlando, Fla, the UCLA men's golf team is tied for ninth entering Saturday's final round. The top 10 teams and two individuals on non-qualifying teams advance to the NCAA Championships, May 31-June 3 at Sunriver, Ore.
UCLA's' two-day score of 592 (+16) has it in a ninth-place tie with crosstown rival USC. Today, the Bruins, seeded second in the regional, shot 300 (+12) as a team.
Top-seeded Georgia leads the regional with a two-day score of 578, followed by UNLV (580), Wake Forest (581), Texas Tech (582) and North Carolina (585). Charlotte and Coastal Carolina are tied for sixth (589), followed by Auburn (590), UCLA and USC.
Individually for UCLA, sophomore Kevin Chappell posted a score of 73 (+1) for a two-day total of 143 (-1) and tie for eighth place. Erik Flores is tied for 27th with a two-day score of 148 (+4). Junior Chris Heintz has a two-day score of 151, freshman Lucas Lee is at 155 and sophomore Daniel Im has a two-day total of 156.
The tournament concludes with Saturday's third round.
