Boldyreva, Kaviere Earn All-Pac Rowing Honors

May 26, 2006

Walnut Creek, Calif. - USC sophomore rowers Ligita Kaviere and Tatiana Boldyreva have been named to the 2006 All-Pac Team, the first such honor for both, Commissioner Tom Hansen announced today.

Both rowers were members of USC's nationally-ranked Varsity Eight boat this season, leading the team to its ninth straight appearance at the NCAA Championships. The Varisity Eight received a ranking as high as third this year, the highest ranking the Trojans have received since the Babraj's took over the USC rowing program in 2002.

Kaviere and Boldyreva were also named to the 2006 CRCA All-West Region Team earlier this month.

The Pac-10 named Washington State's Jane LaRiviere the Women's Rowing Coach of the Year, and California freshman Krista Ellis was named the Women's Rowing Newcomer of the Year.
