Bruins Finish 11th at NCAA Championship

UCLA's second-ranked women's golf team finished in 11th place at the 25th NCAA Women's Golf Championship, hosted by The Ohio State University at its Scarlet Course.
In the final round, the Bruins carded a team score of nine-over par 297 for a 72-hole total of 1,207 (+55). Top-ranked Duke won its second straight NCAA title, posting a three-over par score of 291 for a four-round total of 1,167 (+15). USC placed second at 1,177 (+25), followed by Pepperdine at 1,187 (+35), Arizona State at 1,195 (+43) and California at 1,200 (+48).
UCLA sophomore Amie Cochran recorded her second straight Top 10 finish at the national championship tournament, tying for sixth place at 292 (+4). On Friday, Cochran played the outward nine in five-under par 31 before a rain delay derailed her momentum and she finished with an even par 72. Last season she tied for third nationally.
Junior Hannah Jun tied for 59th at 305 (+17) after recording birdies on her last two holes to finish with an even par 72. Freshman Tiffany Joh tied for 68th at 307 (+19), senior Susie Mathews tied for 79th at 309 (+21) and freshman Jane Park tied for 83rd place at 310 (+22).
USC's Dewi Schreefel won the individual title, firing a final round 69 (-3) to finish with a 72-hole score of 286 (-2).
