Two Student-Athletes Transfer to ASU Women's Basketball Program
June 1, 2006
TEMPE, Ariz. - Arizona State women's basketball coach Charli Turner Thorne today announced that Sybil Dosty and Lauren Lacey have transferred to the Arizona State women's basketball program. Per NCAA rules both will have to sit out a year and will not be eligible to play for the Sun Devils until the 2007-08 season.
'I could not be more excited about the addition of Sybil and Lauren to our program,' said Turner Thorne. 'Having previously recruited both of them I know what tremendous young ladies they are and the great families they come from. Sybil and Lauren will really compliment each other. Both are versatile scorers who will fit well into an up-tempo style.
'Although we'll have to wait a year to see them on the floor I'm looking forward to the opportunity to help them hone their skills and develop into two of the premier post players in the country.'
