USC All-Americans Irene Cho and Dewi-Claire Schreefel competed at the 2006 KLM Ladies Open on the Ladies European Tour last weekend at the Eindhovensche G.C., June 2-4, in Valkenswaard, the Netherlands.
Playing as an amateur, Cho finished tied for 24th with a 54-hole 216 (E, 75-71-70), 12 shots out of first place in the 126-person field. Schreefel shot a 132 (+8, 75-77) over the first two rounds, missing the cut by five strokes.
Cho joined Schreefel in her native the Netherlands just two weeks after the duo helped propel USC to second place at the 2006 NCAA Championships. Both earned All-American first team honors and both were finalists for the 2006 Honda Award for the NCAA's top women's golfer.
Schreefel was the NCAA individual champion while Cho won the Honda Award.
