Morgan Erpenbeck Signs With Bruin Dive Team

June 13, 2006

Dive Coach Tom Stebbins has announced the signing of Morgan Erpenbeck (Fort Dixie HS/Cresview Hills, KY) to a National Letter-of-Intent during the Spring signing period.

Erpenbeck has been a member of the United States Elite Diving Academy of Columbus, Ohio for the past three years. The US Elite is one of the top clubs teams in the country, where she is coached by Drew Johansen, a two-time winner of the US Diving Developmental Coach of the Year Award.

Morgan is a six-time National Qualifier, including two trips to the US Open Championships on Platform, and was the winner of the preliminary rounds of the Junior Olympic National Championships on Platform in 2004.

'I am very excited about the type of athleticism Morgan Erpenbeck will bring to our program,' said Stebbins. 'Morgan is a well trained, and disciplined student-athlete. She will immediately shore up our platform group and I believe will develop into one of our top springboard divers as well. While there will be some transition time, Morgan's upside is huge. We are very much looking forward to welcoming her to our program next fall.'

Erpenbeck joins a talented young dive group with only two seniors - Amanda Blong and Sara Clark, and five sophomores - Brittany Hill, Gina Nuti, Brittany Renfrow, Marisa Samaniego and Tess Schofield.
