Prugh Advances at British Amateur

SEATTLE - Washington men's golfer Alex Prugh has advanced to the third round of match play at the British Amateur, held in Scotland at the Royal St. George's and Prince's Golf Club of St. Andrews. Prugh advanced to match play by shooting rounds of 74 and 77 during the stroke play portion of the tournament. In the first round of match play Prugh defeated Jacques Blaauw of South Africa. He bested James Crampton of the United Kingdom in round two. His third round opponent will be Jamie Moul, also from the UK. Live scoring is available at randa.org.

Another Husky men's golfer in action this week is Erik Olson, who will play at the Northeast Amateur at Wannamoisett Country Club in Rumford, R.I., June 22-25. More information is available at northeastamateur.com.
