Three Bruins Make Match Play Draw at State Amateur

Three UCLA golfers advanced to the match play draw of the 95th California State Amateur Championship at Pebble Beach this week.

Juniors Brandon Christianson and Matt Marshall, and senior Peter Campbell will begin match play competition on Thursday. Senior Chris Heintz, who posted a third round score of 81 failed to make the cut.

Christianson, the 36-hole leader, fell into a tie for sixth place after carding a 77 (+5) on Wednesday. In his first ever round at Pebble Beach Golf Links, he did not record a birdie and signed for five bogeys on the day.

Marshall posted a score of 78 (+6) and Campbell signed for a 76 (+4). Both players tied for 26th place.
