Memorial Service to Take Place on Tuesday for Former Sun Devil Golfer Gaëlle Truet

TEMPE, Ariz. - The Arizona State women's golf program today announced that a memorial service will be held for former Sun Devil golfer Gaëlle Truet on Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the players' facility at the ASU Karsten Golf Course (located off of Rural and Sixth Street).
Truet, 27, passed away on Sunday from injuries sustained in a car accident. She played at ASU from 2001-03 and was an undergraduate assistant under current head coach Melissia Luellen during the 2003-04 season. After graduating from ASU in 2004, Truet joined the Duramed FUTURES Tour, which is the official developmental tour of the LPGA. She was in the midst of her third year on the Tour.
Gaëlle's parents, Remy and Madeleine Truet, and her twin brother, Loic, and his wife will be in attendance at the service. Her parents will be coming to Tempe from New Caledonia and Loic and his wife will be coming from Queensland, Australia. A fund is being set up to assist Gaëlle's family with expenses.
