Stanford Closes Out Season At Henley Royal Regatta

The Stanford men's crew team closed out the season at the Henley Royal Regatta over the weekend. In the semi-finals of the Ladies Plate, the Cardinal were defeated by agreat Princeton team. The Tigers bolted out from the inside lane and neverlooked back. Stanford mounted many charges in the middle of the race butnever gained traction on the course or the very precise Princeton eight.

The Eastern Sprints Champions won the event on Sunday. St. Ignatius Prep ofSan Francisco won the prestigous Princess Elizabeth Cup (High Schooldivision) and represented our region well.

This event marked the close tothe 2006 Stanford Men's racing season.

Special recognition to graduatecoxswain Chistan Linke Young, Seniors Adam Kreek, and Cambridge boundSenior Jacob Cornelius. Cornelius and Kreek were driving forces inpropelling the team to an outstanding season.
