Tony Beltran Selected To U.S. U-20 National Team For Canada Matches

Incoming transfer Tony Beltran was named to the U.S. Under-20 National Team for a pair of matches in Canada against the Canadian Under-20 National Team. The U.S. team arrived in Toronto, Canada on Monday and will take on the Canadians on July 7 in Toronto at Rogers Centre (formerly SkyDome) at 7 p.m. ET. Two days later, on July 9, the teams will battle once again, in Kingston, Ontario at Queen's University's Richardson Stadium. That game will take place at 7 p.m. ET.
Beltran comes to UCLA from St. John's University, where he played in 21 games with 10 starts, scoring two goals and three assists. He was a starter on last year's U.S. Under-18 team that won the Milk Cup in 2005. Also on that team were UCLA's Greg Folk, Jason Leopoldo and Sal Zizzo
Canada is hosting the 2007 FIFA U-20 World Cup next summer across six cities - Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto, Edmonton, Burnaby and Victoria.
