Olson Leads UW Trio In Final Day At Sahalee Players Championship

SAMMAMISH, Wash. -- Washington men's golfer Erik Olson led the Husky trio competing in the final round of the Sahalee Players Championship, finishing the tournament in a 10th-place tie after shooting three-over 75, Friday. UW teammate Alex Prugh, who led the field after three rounds through Thursday, ended up tying for 15th with fellow Husky Zach Bixler. The pair finished the tournament eight strokes behind the leaders.

Olson was tied for eighth with Bixler heading into Friday's final round. Overall he finished six strokes behind the leaders, shooting 71-72-72-75-290 over four rounds.

Prugh endured the toughest day, shooting six-over 80 in the final round to finish four-over 292 overall (71-71-70-80-292). Bixler, coming off a win in his last tournament at the Washington State Amateurs, carded a five-over 77 in the last round. He also finished the tournament four-over 292 (71-69-75-77-292).
