Men's Track Team, Two Cougars Honored by USTFCCCA for Academics

METAIRIE, La. -- Washington State University was among the 22 Division I men's track and field teams who had a cumulative grade-point averages of 3.0 or higher and were honored by the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) for their academic and athletic accomplishments during the 2006 indoor and outdoor track seasons.
The WSU team posted a 3.03 cumulative grade point average for spring 2006.
Additionally, two Cougar student-athletes earned USTFCCCA All-Academic Team honors for their academic and athletic accomplishments during the 2006 seasons: throwers Drew Ulrick (junior, Spokane, Wash.), and Jon Jeffreys (junior, Spokane Valley, Wash.). To qualify for the USTFCCCA All-Academic Track & Field Team, an athlete must have a cumulative GPA of 3.25 or higher and must have met the NCAA Division I regional or national qualifying standard in her event.
