Brock Mackenzie Shoots A 69 At Canadian Players Championship

MONTREAL, QUEBEC -- Former Washington All-American Brock Mackenzie took an early lead in the first round of the Canadian Players Championship, Thursday, shooting an 11-under 61 through the opening 18 holes.

Mackenzie holds a three-stroke lead over Jean van de Velde and Brad Fritsch who carded rounds of eight-under 64. Mackenzie shot 7-under 29 over his last nine holes, highlighted by a 25-foot eagle on his 10th hole of the day. He came just shy of shooting a 59 when he missed a short put on his final hole.
