U.S. Under-20 Team Advances To Milk Cup Final

The U.S. Under-20 National Team earned a spot in the championship match of the 2006 Milk Cup Tournament after tying Denmark, 2-2, on Wednesday evening. Incoming Bruins Tony Beltran and Chance Myers started and played all 90 minutes for the U.S. squad.

Friday's championship match against Paraguay will take place on Friday, Aug. 4 at 12 p.m. PT. It will be broadcast live on the internet at bbc.co.uk.

The U.S. took a 2-0 lead after 14 minutes of play with goals from Preston Zimmerman and Robbie Rogers. Denmark pulled to within one with a 44th minute goal and scored the tying goal in the 78th minute.

The U.S. will be seeking a second consecutive Milk Cup title. Five players return from last year's winning team, including Beltran and sophomore Sal Zizzo.
