PULLMAN, Wash. - The Washington State men's basketball team will play 14 of its 30 regular season games during the 2006-07 season against schools that participated in 2006 postseason play, as announced by Cougar Head Coach Tony Bennett, Wednesday.
WSU will play 16 'home' games, including 14 in Pullman, one at the Spokane Arena (Nov. 25 vs. Boise State) and one at Seattle's KeyArena (Dec. 21 vs. San Diego State).
The Cougars open the season at a tournament hosted by Wisconsin-Milwaukee (Nov. 10-12). WSU will face Radford, UAB and Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
'I'm excited to start my coaching career where I began my playing career,' said Bennett, who starred in the Dairy State as a prep and went on to attend Wisconsin-Green Bay.
