SUSSEX, NEW BRUNSWICK -- Future Husky golfer Nick Taylor continues to out play the field at the Canadian Junior Boys Championship, as the UW freshman-to-be holds a seven-stroke lead heading into Thursday's final round.
Taylor, from Abbostford, B.C., shot a two-over 72 in the third round, Wednesday, to extend his lead after a holding five-stroke advantage following both the first and second rounds. Overall, Taylor has shot two-over 212 (71-69-72). He is coming off a win at the B.C. Juniors earlier this summer and hails from the same hometown and course as former Husky James Lepp.
Taylor's future UW teammate, Darren Wallace, bounced back with a 73 in the third round after carding a 78 and an 81 in the first two rounds, respectively. Wallace is 20 strokes behind Taylor and in a tie for 24th (78-81-73-232).
