Mackenzie Falls From U.S. Amateur Match Play

NORTH PLAINS, ORE. - Former Husky All-American Paige Mackenzie was defeated in the second round of match play at the U.S. Women's Amateur in North Plains, Ore., Thursday.
Mackenzie was defeated by Jennie Lee of Huntington Beach, Calif. four and three. Lee went on to advance to Friday's quarterfinals.
Mackenzie won medalist honors in stroke play on Tuesday, becoming the second Husky in as many years to win the U.S. Amateur. Former UW golfer James Lepp won the Men's Amateur in 2005.
Mackenzie was playing in her last amateur competition before turning professional.
