Taylor, Wallace Advance To Match Play At Canadian Amateur

MISSISSAUGA, Ontario -- Future Husky men's golfers Nick Taylor and Darren Wallace qualified for match play at the Canadian Amateur Championship in Mississauga, Ontario, Monday.

Taylor finished the two rounds of stroke play tied for 21st after shooting two-over 144. Taylor finished eight strokes behind the leaders, carding an even-par 71 in Sunday's first round and a two-over 73 in today's second round. Wallace finished tied for 49th overall shooting five-over 147. He shot one-over 72 in the first round and four-over 75 in the second.

Taylor is the 23rd seeded player in match play and will face 42nd-seeded Marc Bourgeois in the first round Tuesday at 8:51 a.m. Wallace, seeded 57th, will face eight-seeded Todd Halpen at 11:06 a.m.
