Fall Camp Update #8

Stanford, Calif. - Stanford Football continued 2006 training camp with a return to a two-a-day format on Friday. The Cardinal hit the field early with a light morning session and capped the day with an intense and spirited afternoon session.

Tackles/Tight Ends coach Doug Sams, along with Alex Fletcher and Ekom Udofia spoke to the press on Friday. Following is audio of all three media sessions.

On Saturday, the Cardinal will hold its second controlled scrimmage of Fall Camp. The scrimmage and all subsequent practice sessions will be closed to the general public. • Greg Camarillo, hoping to earn a roster spot at WR with the San Diego Chargers, had two catches for 41 yards on Friday night in a preseason loss to the Chicago Bears.
• Babatunde Oshinowo, a sixth round draft pick by the Cleveland Browns, has recorded a sack in each of the Browns' two preseason games thus far.
• Timi Wusu, signed as a free agent with the Oakland Raiders, recorded four tackles and a forced fumble in the Raiders preseason opener against the Philadelphia Eagles.
• Tank Williams, who signed with the Minnesota Vikings during the off season, broke his knee cap in training camp and will miss the 2006 season.
• The Cardinal opens the 2006 season on the road against the Oregon Ducks at Autzen Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 12:30 pm, PT, and the game will be televised live on ABC.
