Brand, Bruscas and Faulds Join the Pac-10 Staff

WALNUT CREEK, Calif. -- The Pacific-10 Conference has named Kristina Brand Director of Video & Internet Operations, and Mike Bruscas and Becca Faulds as 2006-07 Communications Interns, Commissioner Tom Hansen announced today.
Brand was named to the newly created position, Director of Video & Internet Operations, where she will assist with the procurement, storage and distribution of video of Pac-10 competition, as well as assisting with the video administration of the Conference website.
A native of Beaverton, Ore., Brand was previously employed by Oregon Health & Science University. In addition, she served as an instant replay technician for the Pac-10 Conference during the 2005 football season. Her duties included maintaining and operating instant replay equipment and conversing between game and replay officials. She has also spent time as a videographer and independent contractor, skilled in camera operation, video production and video editing. Brand is a graduate of Oregon State, where she earned a degree in liberal studies, with an emphasis in multimedia.
Bruscas, from Seattle, Wash., is a 2005 graduate of the University of Washington with a degree in English. While at Washington, Bruscas was a student assistant in the media relations/athletic communications department. While working for the Washington media relations department, he covered the 2006 Pac-10 Men's Swimming Championships for the Conference website. In addition, Bruscas served as a stringer for the Associated Press assisting in game coverage of the Seattle Supersonics. Most recently, he served as a Baseball Information Intern for the Seattle Mariners.
Faulds, from San Ramon, Calif., is a 2006 graduate of Washington State University with degrees in communication and sport management, and a minor in sociology. While at Washington State, Faulds was a student assistant in the sports information department, publicizing among other sports men's basketball and women's golf. She also provided assistance with the media operations for the 2003 NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament (Spokane, Wash.), 2004 NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament (Seattle, Wash.), and the 2003 Busch Cup Series Race (Phoenix, Ariz.).
