Former UW Women's Golfer Paige Mackenzie Makes Professional Debut

SEATTLE - Former UW women's golfer Paige Mackenzie made her professional debut at the Wendy's Championship for Children in Dublin, Ohio at the Tartan Fields Golf Club. A three-time NGCA All-American, Mackenzie received a sponsor's exemption for the tournament, shooting a five-over 77 in the first round.
Mackenzie won the 2006 Pac-10 Championship by four strokes and finished her senior year ranked as the No.1 female amateur player in the nation by Golfweek. The Yakima, Wash. native was a member of the victorious U.S. Curtis Cup Team in 2006, recording a 3-0-1 record and winning both of her individual matches.
