Asia Kaczor Named Pac-10 Conference Player Of The Week

WALNUT CREEK, Calif.-- USC outside hitter Asia Kaczor has been named the Pac-10 Volleyball Player of the Week for Sept. 11 - 17, Commissioner Tom Hansen announced today.

Kaczor, a sophomore from Wroclaw, Poland, led the Women of Troy to a two-match sweep over No. 20 Pepperdine and No. 14 Purdue, pushing USC's record to a perfect 11-0 this season.

Against Purdue, Kaczor notched a team-high 21 kills and 17 digs leading USC to a 3-1 victory over the Boilermakers. By the end of the weekend, Kaczor tallied 37 kills (4.11 kpg), boasted a .351 hitting percentage andearned 29 digs.

This is the first weekly honor for Kaczor, and USC's 38th Pac-10 Player of the Week all-time.

USC opens Pac-10 Conference play this week at Oregon State on Thursday (Sept. 21) and Oregon on Friday (Sept. 22).
