Harden Named To College Soccer News National Team of the Week

SEATTLE - Washington senior defender Ty Harden was named to the College Soccer News National Team of the Week, the website announced. Harden led the fourth-ranked Husky men's soccer team to back-to-back shutouts versus Northern Illinois and Marshall this past weekend en route to winning the 18th annual Husky Fever Classic.

Harden, a central defender from Junction City, Ore., was named the tournament's Defensive MVP. He has anchored the UW defense that ranks eighth in the nation with a 0.42 goals against average. The Huskies have allowed just three goals in seven games thus far.

Harden is a three-time All-Pac-10 player and was an All-Region selection in 2005.

The Huskies (7-0-0) will make their Pac-10 debut hosting Oregon State, Sunday, Sept. 24, at 1 p.m. at Husky Soccer Field.
