Forrest Selected To Soccer America National Team of the Week
Sept. 20, 2006
SEATTLE - Washington junior forward Kevin Forrest was named to the Soccer America National Team of the Week, the publication announced today. The honor is the second of the season for Forrest, who was also named to the Soccer America National Team of the Week on Sept. 7.
Forrest, from Edmonds, Wash., was named the Offensive MVP of last weekend's Husky Fever Classic after scoring three goals in two matches. He scored a pair in UW's 5-0 win over Northern Illinois, Friday, and a second in the 2-0 victory versus Marshall.
Forrest is the second Husky this week to earn national recognition as senior defender Ty Harden was selected to the College Soccer News National Team of the Week as well.
Forrest is off to a stellar start this season, racking up nine goals in seven games to rank second in the nation in goals per game (1.29). He also ranks third nationally in points per game (2.71).
