Megan Elliott Named to the 2006 USA Softball Junior Women's National Team

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla.---The Amateur Softball Association, the National Governing Body of Softball in the United States, and USA Softball announced today the roster for the 2006 Junior Women's Pan American Qualifier with Arizona State's freshman pitcher, Megan Elliott being named to the roster after recently participating in a four day selection camp at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, Calif.

Elliott will travel with the Junior Women's Pan American Qualifier team as they compete November 8-18 in Caguas, Puerto Rico. The event will qualify teams from the Pan American region for the VIII ISF Junior Women's World Championships scheduled for 2007 in Kutno, Poland.

The coaching staff includes: Mississippi State head coach Jay Miller (Starkville, Miss.) who will be assisted by three former USA Softball National Team members. Suzy Brazney (head coach Golden West College), Barbara Jordan (head coach Cal State Northridge) and Cheri Kempf (owner of Club K in Nashville, Tenn.).
