Husky Men's Golfers Move Up to 10th Place at PING/Golfweek Preview

Williamsburg, Va. - The Washington men's golf team sits in 10th place after the second round of the PING/Golfweek Preview at the Golden Horseshoe County Club in Williamsburg, Va. Freshman Joel Dahmen led the Huskies on day two, shooting a 1-under 69 to move into a tie for 20th.
Senior Alex Prugh was UW's next best finisher, carding an even 70 that propelled him into a tie for 29th. Sophomore John Wise, Washington's leader after round one, shot a 2-over 72 to finish in a tie for 34th. Senior Erik Olson carded a 2-over 72 and transfer Chris Killmer recorded a 3-over 73 to finish in ties for 53rd and 67th, respectively.
Each Husky improved their standing from day one, and the team moved from 15th place to 10th during the round. Washington's two-round total of 581 trails the leading teams, Oklahoma State and Florida, by 19 strokes.
