Muller, Wire Defeated in Doubles Competition at All-America Championships

Stanford's doubles team of Blake Muller and Richard Wire were eliminated today in the second round of qualifying for the Polo/ITA All-America Championships at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center at the University of Tulsa. Muller and Wire won their first round match, but were defeated in the second round by Bram ten Berge and Chris Rea of Mississippi, 8-6.
In their first round match, Muller and Wire beat Matt Brown and Dominik Mueller of Baylor, 8-4. Muller, a sophomore from Santa Barbara, Calif., and Wire, a freshman from Essex, England, were playing their first matches as a doubles team.
