No. 7 CALIFORNIA travels across the Bay to meet No. 6 STANFORD in a FSN televised match to see who can remain one game behind undefeated league leaders UCLA and USC... While two league losses won't eliminate a team from the conference race, it should be noted that in the 20 years of Pac-10 volleyball, the league champion has been undefeated eight times, has finished 17-1 on 11 occassions (co-champs in 1999), and 16-2 three times (co-champs in 2000). No Pac-10 team has won the league title with three or more losses... The Pac-10 continues to dominate this week's AVCA rankings as UCLA remains at No. 3, followed by No. 4 USC, No. 5 WASHINGTON, No. 6 Stanford and No. 7 California... Sophomore OPP Randy Goodenough posted a career-best 15 kills in the loss at Cal. For the weekend, she had 18 kills (2.57 kpg), five aces (0.71 sapg) and six blocks (0.86 bpg) - numbers well above her season averages of 1.46 kpg, 0.32 sapg, and 0.68 bpg.

Junior L Sydney Donahue has posted 20 or more digs in each of the last six matches and in 10 matches this season. Over the last four matches, she's averaging 6.74 digs per game. With 1,350 career digs, she needs 33 digs to move into third on ASU's all-time list.

  • CALIFORNIA - Senior S Samantha Carter needs 27 assists to reach 5,000 for her career. Only five other players in Pac-10 history have recorded 5,000 or more assists... She posted 35 kills (4.38 kpg) in wins over Arizona State and Arizona last weekend, giving her 1,014 career kills... At 14-1, only the 2003 Cal squad has started a season better than the current Bears. In 2003, Cal opened the season 16-0 before dropping a pair of matches to UCLA and USC... Cal also set a new school record with its 13th consecutive home victory at Haas Pavilion, breaking a record of 12-straight set from Nov. 17, 1978-Oct. 26, 1979.

It was their first win over the Beavers since 2002 and first at home over their rivals since 1999... Freshman MB Sonja Newcombe hit .289 in collecting 19 kills, and added eight digs and three blocks in the victory. At 3.08 kills per game, Newcombe is one of three Ducks averaging better than 3.00 kpg (sophomore OH Mira Djuric at 3.36 kpg, senior OH Erin Little at 3.08 kpg).

  • OREGON STATE - Freshman OH Rachel Rourke posted a team-high 18 kills against Oregon and continues to pace the Beavers with 4.47 kills per game... • WASHINGTON - With losses at UCLA and USC, the Huskies dropped consecutive matches for the first time since the 2003 season...
