Mouillon Loses In First Round of Main Draw

Oct. 5, 2006

TULSA, OK - After winning three consecutive matches in the qualifying tournament, Pierre Mouillon lost in the first round of the main draw in the Polo Ralph Lauren All-American Championships. The junior fell to No. 1 seed John Isner of Georgia, 6-1, 6-4, Thursday at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center. Isner is also the returning champion of the event.

The loss was only Mouillon's second singles defeat in the fall campaign thus far. After winning two matches in the Napa Valley Classic last month, Mouillon defeated his first three opponents in the championships.

Mouillon won't have to wait long to get back on the court, as he and the rest of the California men's tennis team will compete in the Bronco Classic this weekend. The classic starts tomorrow and continues through Sunday.
