Cal Travels to Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational

BERKELEY, Calif. - The California women's golf team travels to the Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational Monday-Wednesday, Oct. 9-11 at the Sahalee Country Club in Sammamish, Wash. Eighteen holes will be played each day beginning at 9 a.m. Monday. Play begins Tuesday at 10:10 a.m., while the final round starts at 8 a.m. Wednesday. Live scoring will be available at www.golfstat.com.
The 15-team field includes Arizona, Arizona State, Brigham Young, California, Long Beach State, New Mexico, Pepperdine, Oregon, Oregon State, San Francisco, Stanford, UNLV, USC, Washington and Washington State.
At the 2005 Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational, Cal placed eighth at 928, while Pepperdine led the 14-team field at 891. Mika Takayama tied for 12th (226) to pace all Bears golfers.

Cal struggled in its last outing at the Golf Daytona Beach Fall Preview Sept. 22-24. The Bears placed 17th out of 18 teams with a 54-hole score of 929 on the par-72 LPGA International Legends Course. Senior Danielle Nash tied for 40th at 227 to lead the Bears for the first time in her career.
