UCLA Women Win UCSD Triton Cross Country Invitational

The UCLA women's cross country team captured the UC San Diego Triton Invitational team title on Saturday as five of the Bruins' nine runners finished in the top-10 in the 6k race.

Sophomore Olga Aulet-Leon led the way with her third-place finish, running 22:45.3. Freshman Nicole Pennes was fourth (22:45.9) for her highest finish of the season. Senior Allison Hall posted the seventh-fastest time on Saturday (23:06.6), while freshman Bailey Schutte (9th, 23:17.8) and junior Monika Rothenburger (10th, 23:19.9) rounded out UCLA's finishers in the top-10.

UCLA will now turn their focus to the Pre-NCAA Invitational, held in Terre Haute, IN next weekend to finish out the regular season.
