Amy Eneroth in Second After First Round of Ihlandfeldt Invite

Sammamish, Wash.- Sophomore Amy Eneroth shot a 3-under par 69 to lead Washington State in scoring through the opening round of the 2006 Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational held at the par-72, 6,130-yard Sahalee Country Club. The Cougars finished the first round with a team score of 312 and sit nine shots out of the top 5.

The competitors that WSU leads after day one include Long Beach State, UNLV, Oregon State, California, and San Fransisco. The Entire field is chasing Arizona State who finished the day in first. The Sun Devils shot a 11-over, 299, to lead the field.

Sophomore Amy Eneroth continues to be one of WSU's strongest golfers. Eneroth finished the day with five birdies in the round. At the end of round one Eneroth is the only Cougar in contention.
