COUGARS CROSS CASCADES FOR CLASH WITH DAWGS: The Washington State volleyball team, 13-7 on the season, 1-5 in Pacific-10 Conference competition, travels to Seattle this Friday for a match against the defending national champions and No. 5-ranked Washington Huskies (14-3, 4-2)...the 7 p.m. contest at the Bank of America Arena, will be broadcast live on the Fox Sports Net Northwest television stations...announcers will be Cara Capuano and Bart Foley...listen to the match on 104.3 KHTR-FM, Pullman.
TUNE IN FOR MORE COUGAR VOLLEYBALL ON TELEVISION: The Pacific-10 Conference will have volleyball matches broadcast by the FOX Sports Network throughout the 2006 season, on a tape-delayed basis...the Oct. 20 match of WSU at Arizona State will be televised...check your local FOX Sports station for the dates and times of these delayed broadcasts.

THE ABC CAMPAIGN: Cougar volleyball and the Breast Cancer Support Group of the Palouse, known as the Bosom Buddies, have joined together for the Attacking Breast Cancer (ABC) Pledge Drive for the fifth consecutive year...October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and the Cougar players will be collecting monetary pledges for each attack which results in a point) for WSU during the seven matches this month...$5,791.65 has been collected since 2002...contact WSU volleyball at 509-335-0277.
LAST WEEK: At home in Bohler Gym, the Cougars split a pair of matches with unranked conference teams...WSU defeated Oregon State Friday night (27-30, 30-17, 30-21, 29-31, 15-13) and lost to Oregon Saturday night 30-25, 30-21, 30-25...in the two matches, Brittany Johnson was the team kills leader with 29 kills while Adetokunbo Faleti had 27 kills and Kelly Rosin had 24 kills...both Rosin and Cassie Robbins had 11 blocks while Corina Beyer had 83 assists and Kelly Hyder had 46 digs...Rosin reached her 1,000th career kill during the OSU win, becoming the ninth Cougar in school history to reach 1,000 kills.
