WALNUT CREEK, Calif. - Running back Justin Forsett of California, linebacker Scott Davis of Washington State and kicker Mario Danelo of USC have been named U.S. Bank Pac-10 Football Players of the Week.

Forsett, a junior from Arlington, Texas, took over for injured starter Marshawn Lynch and keyed California's running game in the Golden Bears' 45-21 win against No. 11-ranked Oregon. Forsett rushed 27 times for 163 yards (6.0-yard average) with a touchdown run of 23 yards. He added two receptions for 19 yards to account for 182 all-purpose yards. The Cal running game averaged 5.6 yards per carry in amassing 235 yards rushing against the Ducks.

Davis, a senior from Kennewick, Wash., led the Washington State defensive effort in the Cougars' 13-6 road win at Oregon State. Davis had six tackles, all solo, including three quarterback sacks for minus-20 yards, recovered two fumbles and had two pass breakups. Among his three quarterback sacks, two came on Oregon State's final possession, including one on the final play of the game. The Washington State defense limited Oregon State to no touchdowns, 15 first downs, 287 yards total offense (64 rushing, 223 passing), just 3-of-12 third-down conversions, forced four turnovers and posted six quarterback sacks (-39).

Danelo, a senior from San Pedro, Calif., connected on all four of his field goal attempts and both of his PAT attempts to account for 14 points in USC's 26-20 win against Washington. Danelo was good on field goal kicks of 34, 25, 32 and 21 yards.

Others nominated for offensive player of the week honors were wide receivers Jason Hill of Washington State and Patrick Turner of USC and quarterback Pat Cowan of UCLA. Also nominated on defense were linebackers Desmond Bishop of California and Keith Rivers of USC and cornerback Trey Brown of UCLA. Punt returner DeSean Jackson of California, kicker Justin Medlock of UCLA and punter Darryl Blunt of Washington State were nominated for special teams play.
