Cal Struggles After Second Round of Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational

BERKELEY, Calif. - The California women's golf team is in 13th place with a two-day total of 637 Tuesday at the Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational at Sahalee Country Club. The Golden Bears carded a score of 320 in the second round.

Stanford leads the 15-team tournament at 600 on the strength of Tuesday's low team score of 297. New Mexico is second at 601, followed by Arizona State (605), Pepperdine (609) and Arizona (614).

Sophomore Allison Goodman continues to lead the Bears in a tie for 24th at 155. Goodman carded the team's best round of 78 today. Senior Mika Takayama is tied for 30th at 157 following a second-round score of 79, which included a team-high three birdies. Sophomore Shannon Yocum (80) and freshman Christina Frick (83) accounted for Cal's final counting scores today. Yocum is tied for 50th at 161, while Frick is tied for 60th at 164.

The final round of the tournament tees off Wednesday at 8 a.m.
