Men's Golf Ranked 13th in New GCAA Coaches Poll

The Arizona State University men's golf team is ranked 13th in the nation in the new GCAA/Bridgestone Coaches Poll. The Sun Devils were previously ranked ninth. Oklahoma overtook the first place spot, which was formerly held by Georgia. The Bulldogs slipped down to third place.
Last time out, the men's golf team finished in sixth place at the 2006 PING Preview held at the par-70, 6,809-yard Colonial Williamsburg Golden Horseshoe Golf Course. The Sun Devils shot a 12-over 852 (287-284-281).Leading ASU for the second straight tournament, senior All-American Niklas Lemke shot a 4-under 206 (67-70-69) to tie for third place. Lemke was tied for first place after the second round.
Lemke was also named Pac-10 Golfer of the Month for October after capturing his first collegiate championship at the Illini Invitational back in September.
Next up, the men's golf team travels to Dallas, Texas to compete in the Callaway Invitational, Oct. 29-31.
