Cal Competes at the Stanford Intercollegiate

BERKELEY, Calif. - The California women's golf team wraps up the fall season at the Stanford Intercollegiate Friday, Oct. 20-Sunday, Oct. 22 at the Stanford Golf Course. Tee times begin at 8:40 a.m. on Friday, with Cal teeing off at 9:40 a.m. Complete results and tee times can be found each day at www.Golfstat.com.
The 14-team field consists of eight teams ranked in the Golfweek/Sagarin Top 25 rankings, including top-ranked Georgia, No. 2 Duke, No. 3 UCLA, No. 9 Vanderbilt, No. 12 Arizona, No. 15 New Mexico and No. 21 Arkansas. California, Oregon, Oregon State, San Jose State, Tulsa, Washington and Washington State round out the competition.

Chung is making her return to Cal's starting lineup for the first time since the Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge Feb. 13-15, 2006.
In Cal's last competition Oct. 9-11, the Bears placed 12th with a 54-hole score of 950 at the Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational. Sophomore Allison Goodman tied for 21st at 231 to top all Bears golfers.
At the 2005 Stanford Intercollegiate, Cal tied for ninth out of 19 teams with a score of 888 on the par-73 course. Then-senior Sofie Andersson tied for 16th at four-over 217 to lead the Bears.
Andersson is competing for Sweden at the Women's World Amateur Team Championships Oct. 18-23 at the De Zalze Golf Club and the Stellenbosch Golf Club in Stellenbosch, South Africa. Andersson helped Sweden claim the 2004 Women's World Amateur Team Championships.
