No. 6 Cardinal In Third After One Round At Stanford Intercollegiate

Stanford, Calif. - The sixth-ranked Cardinal Women's Golf Team sits in third place after one round at this year's competitive Stanford Intercollegiate. Stanford recorded a first round score of 286 today to trail leader No. 12 Arizona with a seven-under 277 and second-place squad No. 1 Georgia with a score of 284. No. 9 Vanderbilt is in fourth with a first-round score of 288, while No. 2 Duke is fifth with 292.
Senior Lauren Todd leads the Cardinal in a tie for ninth place after shooting a one-under 70 today. Georgia's Whitney Wade and Arizona's Alison Walshe are tied for first after both recording a 67. Arizona's Adriana Zwanck is in third after firing a three-under 68.
Sophomore Mari Chun sits in a tie for 12th place after shooting a par 71 on the Stanford Golf Course, followed by senior Jennifer Tangtiphaiboontana with a 72 to tie for 21st. Freshman Catherina Wang trailed closely with a 73 to tie for 26th place, while sophomore Ki-Shui Liao is tied for 70th after recording an 83.
Host Stanford also has three individuals competing at the Intercollegiate. Freshman Angela King shot a 74 today in her first collegiate tournament to tie for 29th place. Senior Saana Rapakko is tied for 48th with a first-round score of 77, while fellow senior Jenna Seki is tied for 58th after shooting a 79 today.
The Cardinal will return to action tomorrow in Round 2 of the Stanford Intercollegiate, with tee times beginning at 8:40 am. Complete results from Round 1 and live scoring throughout the tournament are available at golfstat.com.
