Washington Completes Round One of Stanford Intercollegiate

Stanford, Calif.- The Washington women's golf team completed the first day of play at the Stanford Intercollegiate, held at the Stanford Golf Course. Freshman Molly Aronsson led the Huskies, shooting an even-par 72 that placed her in a tie for 12th. The Huskies also sit in a tie for 12th after the first round, carding a 21-over 305.
Arizona leads the overall field after shooting a 7-under 277. Georgia is seven shots back at an even 284, while the 2006 Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational champion Stanford Cardinal sits at third with a 2-over 286.
UW's other scores include a 5-over 76 for senior Amber Prange, good for a tie for 41st place, while junior Kim Shin sits in 77th place at 6-over 77. Sophomore Molly Boyle carded a 10-over 17 for a tie for 66th, and senior Amy Wang rounded out the Husky contingent in 77th place at 17-over 88.
