STANFORD - The California men's tennis team won all three of its doubles matches Saturday in day two of the Wilson/ITA Northwest Regional at the Taube Family Tennis Stadium on the Stanford campus. The duo of junior Pierre Mouillon and senior Daniel Sebescen got their first doubles win of the tournament after receiving a first-round bye. Sophomore Geoff Chizever and senior John Pettit also won after getting a first-round bye.
The team of Mouillon and Sebescen came in as the No. 2 seed. Their opponents in the round of 32, Gabriel Loredo and Hague Van Dillen of Sacrament State put up a good fight, but it was Cal who won the match in the end, 8-6.
Chizever and Pettit didn't have as much trouble, knocking of Fresno State's Greg Jackson and Taylor Leiby, 8-3. The third Bears team still alive in doubles, freshman KJ Stewart and sophomore Eoin Heavey picked up their second win of the weekend, defeating Moritz Starke and Vladimir Zdravkovic of Pacific, 8-2.
