Four Ranked Huskies Lose in ITA Regional Sweet 16

STANFORD, Calif. -- No. 1 seed Alex Slovic was one of four seeded Husky singles players to fall in Sweet 16 matches at the ITA Men's West Regionals in Stanford, Calif., on Saturday. Slovic, No. 5 seed Patrik Fischer, No. 8 seed Daniel Chu and No. 11 seed Andy Kuharszky each won their Round of 32 matches earlier Saturday before losing later in the day.

The Huskies still have three doubles team alive in the undefeated-side of the doubles bracket, including the No. 1-seeded duo of Chu and Slovic. Also advancing to the Sweet 16 of the doubles bracket are the No. 14 seeds Kuharszky and Derek Drabble and the unranked-pair of Fischer and Mike Ricks.
