Stanford Travels To Head Of The American Saturday

THIS WEEK'S ACTION
The Stanford lightweight rowing team is scheduled to compete at the Head of the American in Sacramento this Saturday, October 28. The event will be hosted by the Sacramento State Aquatic Center and held at Lake Natomas in Sacramento, California. The lightweight squad has entered one 'eight' and one 'four' in the race.

LIGHTWEIGHT ROWERS COMING OFF SUCCESSFUL SHOWING AT WINE COUNTRY CLASSIC
The lightweight rowers contributed to the 55 gold medals Stanford won at the season-opening Wine Country Classic on September 8 in Petaluma, California. Stanford won all 18 races entered in the event. The lightweight team did not swim at the Head of the Charles with the men's and women's squads in the most recent Stanford Rowing competition on September 22.

UP NEXT
Stanford will compete at the Newport Autumn Rowing Festival (Newport Beach, CA) to wrap up the fall portion of its 2006-07 schedule on Sunday, November 12.
