Zack Miller Tabbed Golf World Player of the Week

Wilton, Conn. - Golf World has selected Zack Miller of Stanford and Kristen Svicarovich of Vanderbilt as its 'Players of the Week' for their performances in tournaments between October 16 and October 22. The players are featured in the October 27 issue of the magazine and online at and

Zack Miller, a senior at Stanford and a native of San Rafael, Calif, made six birdies over the final nine holes and shot a final-round 69 for a nine-under 207 at the Norman Course at PGA West to claim top medalist honors at The Prestige (Oct. 16-17). Miller's first victory of the fall was at the Gopher Invitational in Minnesota, where he shot a two-under 214. Thus far this season he has a 71.11 stroke average with five of his nine rounds being under par. Miller also had eight top-10 finishes in his career prior to this year and was named team MVP as a freshman during the 2003-04 season.

Kristen Svicarovich, a senior at Vanderbilt and a native of Hillsboro, Ore., also made six birdies and shot a career-low 67 to help the Commodores claim victory at the Stanford Intercollegiate (Oct. 20-22). Her previous career low collegiate score was a 69 at the 2006 SEC Championship. This season Svicarovich has posted a 74.5 stroke average in 12 rounds. Svicarovich tied for 16th at the NCAA Championship in her sophomore year (2005).
