Huskies Wrap Up College Cup

VANCOUVER, British Columbia-- The University of Washington swimming teams wrapped up action at the two-day College Cup Saturday with split squads. With the Huskies fielding purple and gold teams for both the men and women, the UW men placed third (team gold) with 400 points and fourth (team purple) with 376, while the UW women placed fourth (team gold) with 384.5 points and sixth (team purple ) with 310.5 points.
Junior Henry Hudson led the Husky men with a first place finish in the 400 freestyle (4:01.22), while placing second in the 400 IM (4:33.94). Washington also received top swims from Yonatan Cohen, who placed second in the 200 breast (2:20.92), and Tamon Page, who placed third in the 200 back (2:09.68).
The Husky women placed third in five of the eight events, including a pair of third place finishes by sophomore Kim Jasmer in the 400-meter freestyle (4:23.87) and the 100 free (1:00.05).
The UW women return to action next week when they hit the road to face Washington State on Nov. 10 and Idaho on Nov. 11. The Washington men don't return to action until the Husky Invitational, Nov. 30-Dec. 3.
