Golfers Wrap Fall Season At CordeValle Classic

SEATTLE -- The Washington men's golf team will wrap its fall season this week, competing in the Second Annual CordeValle Collegiate hosted by UCLA at the CordeValle Country Club in San Martin, Calif., Nov. 6-7.
The CordeValle will play to a par 72 over 7,119 yards. A 36-hole shotgun start will kick off the tournament at 7 a.m. on Mon., Nov. 6. Teams will tee off in the final round from holes No. 1 and No. 10 at 7 a.m. on Tues., Nov. 7. Live scoring for the tournament can be viewed at golfstat.com.
In addition to the Huskies and host Bruins, the tournament field will include Arizona, Arkansas, Augusta State, Cal, Coastal Carolina, Lamar, Northwestern, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Pepperdine, Santa Clara, Stanford, TCU and USC.
Washington is coming off a performance at the Callaway Collegiate Match Play Championship in which it compiled a 1-2 record. This fall, the Huskies have posted one tournament win (UBC Invitational) and one runner-up finish (Opus NW Husky Invitational). Washington also finished eighth at the Big Ten/Pac-10 Challenge and tied for 12th at the Ping/Golfweek Preview.
The Huskies will open the spring season Feb. 7-9 at the Waikoloa Intercollegiate in Hilo, Hawaii.
