Bruins 13th at CordeValle Collegiate

The second-ranked UCLA men's golf team was in 13th place at the CordeValle Collegiate when play was suspended shortly after 5 p.m. PST.
The Bruins had finished both rounds and were 25 shots off the lead at 579 (+3). They posted a second round score of 286 (-2) after carding an opening round of 293 (+5). Tenth-ranked Stanford was first at 22-under par with a few holes to play. Fourth-ranked Lamar was third at -14, followed by No.6 Coastal Carolina at -11. USC and Arizona were tied for ffith at -9.
Play to complete the second round begins Tuesday with a 7:30 a.m. (PST) shotgun start. The third round begins at 8:30 a.m. after teams are re-paired.
Junior Daniel Im was the top Bruin on the leaderboard. He was four shots off the lead after posting scores of 71-69--139. Sophomore James Lee was tied for 33rd at even par 144 after posting rounds of 71-73--144. Junior Kevin Chappell was tied for 47th at 145 (+1). He carded rounds of 74-71. Sophomore Erik Flores and freshman Jason Kang were tied for 77th at 150 (+6). Flores posted rounds of 74-76--150 (+6) and Kang posted a pair of 75s. Craig Leslie and James Lee represented UCLA as individuals. Leslie was 15th after posting rounds of 69-72--142 (-2) and Lee was tied for 33rd at even par 144 after carding rounds of 71-73.
Stanford's Zack Miller broke the course record in the second round, firing a nine-under par 63. He held the 36-hole lead at 135 (-9) after posting a 72 (E) in the first round. Northwestern's Dan Doyle was second at eight-under par with two holes to play to finish round two.
